Installing Elementum Kodi Add-on to FireStick: A Step-by-Step Guide

Although Elementum isn’t automatically available on your FireStick, you may have decided that you want to go ahead and proceed with adding it yourself. That’s great news! There’s just one problem: you have no idea how to install it.

No worries! We’ve got you covered. Below, you’ll find an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide that details how to install the add-on to your FireStick. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

1. Enable Installation from Unofficial Sources on Your FireStick

First thing’s first: you’re going to need to enable the installation of unofficial sources on your FireStick. As discussed above, Kodi isn’t available on the official Amazon App Store, as it allows third-party sources. As such, you will need to change the settings on your FireStick to enable installing apps from other sources on the device.

This is very similar to the process that you would use on any other Android device that you own, such as your phone. Though some people refer to this as “jailbreaking” their FireSticks, which sounds kind of ominous, it’s actually nothing nefarious, as it involves nothing more than changing the settings and is actually very different than rooting Android devices or jailbreaking Apple devices.

In order to enable the installation of unofficial sources on your FireStick, simply;

Go to Settings . My Fire TV > Developer Options > Apps from Unknown Sources.
Adjust the setting to “On”

2. Install the “Downloader” File Download Utility

Once you’ve allowed downloads from outside sources on your FireStick, you’ll need to add the resource to your device, and the “Downloader” app is the easiest one to use. That’s because it will further assist you with installing the Kodi add-on onto your FireStick. Fortunately, the Downloader is available on the Amazon App Store, so you won’t have to deal with any fuss.

To get the Downloader app on your FireStick, use the following steps:

Click on the “Search” icon and type “Downloader”
Select the “Downloader” icon (it’s orange)
Select “OK”

The installation process will commence and it should be completed in just a few short seconds. Once it is complete, you can launch it via the Apps section on your FireStick. You’ll receive the standard permission dialogue box when you first use the app. Just select “Allow” and the app will save files to your device.

3. Download and Install Kodi

Once the Downloader app is up and running on your FireStick, you can start the process of downloading and installing Kodi onto your FireStick.

Use the following steps to do so:

  • Open the Downloader app
  • A quick start guide should appear. Read through it to learn the app’s key functions and basic operations if you’d like. When you’re finished, select “OK”
  • When the quick start dialogue box is closed, a keyboard will appear on the screen asking you to input the download source’s web address. Here, you’ll put Kodi’s web address: http://kodi.tv/download/
  • Select the “Go” option to begin the download
  • When the Downloader has finished downloading Kodi APK, the installation process will begin. When prompted, select “Install” in the Kodi setup dialogue box. It should be finished in just a few seconds.
  • Select “Done” when the dialogue box prompts you to
  • When the installation is complete, the download program will present the option to either keep or delete the APK file. Because you installed the program directly onto your device, the installation APK is no longer needed. As such, deleting it is a good idea, as doing so will free up storage space on your FireStick. Just select “Delete” when you’re prompted to and then click it again to confirm that you want to remove the file.

You’ve now completed the installation of Kodi on your FireStick! In order to access the app on your device, simply head to the main apps list and select the Kodi icon. When you start it for the first time, an info dialogue box will appear that will notify you of the necessary permissions.

Select the “Continue” option and then a standard dialogue box should appear, asking you to give your consent to read and write files on your FireStick’s storage. Once you’ve given the permission to do so, Kodi will begin on your Fire device.

Add-ons function differently than your Kodi, including streaming content, which keeps the installation of Kodi efficient. With that said, however, keep in mind that not all add-ons are the same, as some may provide content that you’re permitted to watch, while others stream content that shouldn’t be publicly available because of copyright and content distribution concerns.
